On September 20, a Bulgarian-Chinese Economic Forum was held at the Cultural Center “Jules Pascin”, which was attended by 10 representatives of high management positions in leading international Chinese companies, as well as representatives of the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Investment Agency, the Regional Administration, Vidin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Labor Bureau Directorate, Vidin-South Industrial Zone and others.
Mr. Alexander Rusev, Head of the Public Relations Sector at Vidin Municipality, welcomed the participants and expressed his gratitude.
The event was officially opened by Dr. Tsvetan Tsenkov, Mayor of Vidin, who briefly presented the history of the city and emphasized the importance of the forum: the goal is "to popularize the region and present investment opportunities, which is a prerequisite for its development."
Mr. Alexander Pulev, Advisor on Innovation, delivered a welcome address on behalf of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. “Vidin is a city with a rich history and strategic importance, which through its access to river transport provides connectivity from the Balkans to the industrial heart of Europe,” he pointed out.
During the forum, presentations were made about business opportunities in Vidin to managers of globally established Chinese companies with the idea of attracting investments.
In the final part, the participants enjoyed catering at café “Jules Pascin”.
