Vidin Municipality, together with the Center for Support for Personal Development – ​​Vidin, organized the second edition of “Panorama of Higher Education – Vidin 2024”, which took place on April 9 and 10, 2024, at the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin."

Prospective students had the opportunity to meet with representatives of 21 higher education institutions from across the country and receive up-to-date information about available programs, application requirements, admission processes, and career opportunities.

On March 15, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center “Jules Pascin”, the Vladigerov brothers and friends presented their first concert on the occasion of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the birth of the patriarch of Bulgarian music - Pancho Vladigerov. The album "Magic" combines own compositions based on the texts of Rainer Maria Rilke and the incredible talent of the musicians:

Konstantin Vladigerov - piano and compositions;

Alexander Vladigerov - trumpet, flugelhorn, vocals and compositions;

Maria Pavlova – soprano;

On February 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cultural Center “Jules Paskin”, the presentation of the Higher School of Insurance and Finance, organized by the Municipality of Vidin together with the educational institution, took place. The event was attended by the rector of HSIF, prof. e. Yu. n. Boris Velchev and the academic leadership.

Prospective students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the various programs for the "Bachelor" and "Master's" degrees, directions, specialties, application method and others.

The exhibition opened on February 14 at 5:00 PM at the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin." The author, Wilhelm Yotsov, presented 30 photographs capturing moments of training, official ceremonies, shelling, aircraft in flight, paratroopers' jumps, and military drills, offering a glimpse into the life of the Bulgarian Army.

Mr. Yotsov has been working as a photographer within the Ministry of Defense for 25 years. He is currently a civilian photographer at the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy.

Symphony - Vidin presented its first concert on January 26, 2024. in the newly opened Cultural Center “Jules Pascin”. Under the baton of Petar Dimitrov, together with the Vidin orchestra, the soloists Sava Vutov - piano and Luisa Selo - flute took part. Mahler's work "What Love Tells Us" was performed, which put the Vidin Symphony on the cultural map not only in Bulgaria, but also in Europe.

A grand piano was specially delivered from Sofia for the concert, which added to the magic of the experience.

The first Magnetica workshop was held at the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin" on December 2, 2023.

Participants of all ages had the opportunity to learn the basics of photography and graphic design from experienced instructors. They were introduced to techniques such as proper framing, lighting, and composition, as well as the creation of graphic projects. For those interested, a magnet-making activity was also organized.

Participation was free, with an additional fee for creating a magnet.

The first Christmas card workshop was held on November 25, 2023. (Saturday) at Cultural Center “Jules Pascin”. Children were immersed in the magic of the Christmas spirit and had the opportunity to create their own unique cards with artificial snow, frozen Christmas trees, glittering snowflakes, poinsettias, twigs and other decorations. Within an hour, each child stepped into the role of Santa's gnome and created their holiday creation. 

The participation fee was BGN 7, which covered the materials provided by Art Studio "AsiNor".

On November 8 2023 "Autumn Tale" workshop was held at the Cultural Center "Jules Paskin"  with mentor Natasha Petrova from the "AshiNor" art studio. The creative activity took place in small groups, and each participant had the opportunity to immerse himself in the magic of autumn motifs and make a handmade card for a loved one or for beauty in the home.

On September 28, 2023 The first day of the two-day Fifth International Scientific Conference on "Modernization trends in economic and cultural life in Vidin and Tomoshko (18th-20th centuries)" was held in the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin", organized by the State Archives - Vidin with the assistance of the Municipality of Vidin.
