Dimitrovden in Cultural Center “Jules Pascin” : Chess and music in the festive program

On October 26, on the occasion of Dimitrovden - the city's holiday, Cultural Center “Jules Pascin” opened its doors with free entry for all visitors.

The main event of the day was the 24th traditional international chess tournament Naiden Voinov Memorial. Registration for the tournament began at 12:00 p.m. , after which chess players competed in the competition dedicated to the memory of the great master Nayden Voinov. The tournament, which is an annual tradition, attracted participants from different countries and was an exciting event for both the chess players and the audience.

“To Vidin with love” painting exhibition

On October 20 from 5:00 p.m., on the occasion of Dimitrovden - the holiday of the town Vidin, in the  Cultural Center "Jules Paskin", the painting exhibition of Veselin Marinov Natsin, under the title "To Vidin with love", was solemnly opened. Each of his works was an exciting narrative conveyed through expressionism, realism and modernism. The artist skilfully interwoven these styles, creating rich thematic works - still lifes, landscapes, portraits and complex compositions.

Autumn workshop for children from 7 to 18 years old

On October 12 and October 19 at 10:30 AM, the Cultural Center„Jules Pascin” once again opened its doors to the magical workshops of AshiNor! Two days filled with creativity and imagination gave participants the opportunity to create handmade masterpieces inspired by fairy-tale themes.

The first workshop took place on October 12 at 10:30 a.m.and featured two exciting topics:

WAGNER AND WAGNERIANISM

An exciting musical evening was held on 09.10.2024. from 7:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center “Jules Pascin”. Under the sounds of the Vidin Symphony, the attendees plunged into a world where every note resonated with the hall's magical acoustics, telling its own tale.

The evening was filled with musical magic that left unforgettable memories in the hearts of all present.

 

"Portals" painting exhibition

Dear friends of art, on October 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center "Jules Paskin" an exciting journey through "Portals" took place, presented by the artist painter Galina Velcheva. The exhibition, filled with canvas oil paintings and unique works created through the artist's original technique – a combination of oil paints, sand and other natural crystals, revealed worlds where colors dance and ideas come to life. 

#BEACTIVE DAY

September 15 (Sunday) all of Bulgaria was united by the BEACTIV DAY initiative – a day dedicated to physical activity and health, organized by the Bulgarian Association for Health and Fitness. Hundreds of enthusiasts, supporters of sports and an active lifestyle, joined the event, which aimed to promote the physical and mental well-being of the population. 

Children exhibition “Homeland”

Children's exhibition "Homeland” opened on September 10, 2024. from 6:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center “Jules Pascin”. As part of the event, landscapes created by 34 extremely talented children aged 4 to 16, graduates of the Nana ART studio, were presented. Their works, inspired by the beauty of the city and the homeland, were not just paintings, but stories told through colors and forms, revealing their unadulterated ability to capture and convey the spirit of nature and cultural heritage.

Fashion show “Eclecticism”

The fashion show “Eclectica” by young Vidin designer Ivanka Naydenova took place on July 24, 2024 (Wednesday) at 6:30 PM at the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin."

The event was part of the thirteenth Danube Waves Arts Festival, organized by Vidin Municipality. The host of the evening was Vidin actor Ivaylo Petkov, while DJ Dextar from Sofia ensured a lively atmosphere for the attendees.

“Once upon a Time … Forgotten tales..”

July 1, 2024 (Monday) from 6:00 p.m. in the Cultural Center "Jules Paskin" the annual concert-performance of the School of Folk Singing at the Municipal Cultural Institute "Danube" "Once upon a time .... FORGOTTEN TALES ...."

The children presented several "forgotten" folk tales with lessons, some of which:
