The Cultural Center “Jules Pascin” presented the temporary exhibition “For Justice and Humanity,” dedicated to the life and work of Vidin Metropolitan Neophyte, with an emphasis on the rescue of Bulgarian Jews.
The exhibition, provided by the State Archives – Vidin, was located on the second floor of the Cultural Center.
A total of 115 documents were presented, including protocols of the Holy Synod, letters from Metropolitan Neophyte, photographs of the hierarch himself, the Jewish community in Vidin, as well as images from Jewish labor camps. The exhibition highlighted both the personality of the Metropolitan and his firm, consistent actions during difficult times for the country, along with aspects of the life of Vidin’s Jewish community.
